Hello,

thanks to the efforts of two friendly fellow PDMLers, whom I
thank very much, now I, too, possess two new screens for the
LX: SC-69 and SG-60. The new screens are really great. Its
not so much the brightness that impresses me but the
fineness of the grain of the screen and the easyness of
focusing, especially with long lenses. With the old LX
screens focusing often was like guessing. Sometimes I even
preferred to use MX screens, which are darker but better
otherwise. Now, with the new screens, I have brightness,
good focus control, almost invisible grain, a really
beautiful image in the finder.

However, I noticed a slight focusing inaccuracy of my LX
both with old and new screens: With short lenses (15mm,
28mm) at infinty the split images do not really match. I
guess that this is due to the screen resting in a position
that is slightly too high. Maybe I have not yet managed to
move the screens exactly into the right position, nestling
as deep in the holding frame as possible? As I said this
problem is there with both, old and new screens. Maybe some
more trys will render better results. Or might the camera
body is poorly adjusted?

Best wishes,

Arnold
