  Not a stupid question at all, as panorama advantages are not
immediate. I like panorama format a lot and I prefer to do it in
camera as opposed to usual cropping because:
  - for slides, I don't have to do the tedious work of mounting
  additional masks together with the frame;
  - for negatives, I don't have to show the lab how to reframe the
  picture and give them the opportunity to charge it as custom work.
  Too bad Pentax stripped it out of MZ-S, but I suppose this is one
feature "pros" don't care about.
