Seems that this item is no longer listed on eBay. The link no longer works (at least not for me), plus I did a search of the item number (came up invalid again), plus I searched *istD (except you can't search an asterisk), and all the items were up around $1500 US.
My bet is that someone noticed that they forgot the "1" before the "5", stopped the auction, and relisted under the correct price.
If there was a BIN of $599, too bad someone couldn't jump on it! Would have been interesting what the seller's reaction would have been.
And, Trevor, it seems that you now know the error of your ways. The matter is actually one of some controversy. Some list members don't like ongoing eBay auctions mentioned, for a variety of reasons (except to "advertise" your own auctions). Some members don't mind. Some like to get a heads up if something interesting's going on.
Personally, I opt for the first option. Fewer people get pissed off that way, and I'll usually go for the path of least resistance.
But, this is an unmoderated list, so no one's going to get booted off for mentioning auctions. You might get yelled at, though. Whereas if you don't mention anything, no one will yell...
