G'day Kostas. Yep. That was me with the 5 MZ-50's. I have thinned them down to 1 at the moment. Actually, I quite like the -50. Bloody hate the -60.The SFX will stay simply because I like it. I think that the -7 will be the one to grace my camera bag. It appears to be the best of both worlds as far as I need. I am not a pro. I do the odd wedding for friends and stuff like that and just piss around taking shots of things that catch my eye.] The -5n is out of my price range and probably my useability range as well.
I have never even seen a -6. Not even seen one advertised. Thanks to all that took the time to reply. Hooroo. I was thinking about that. If the OP is the guy who mailed a month ago with 2-3 same cameras with same 28-200 lenses and different films in them, I am not sure I understand why he disliked the -50. He did not seem to have an arsenal of K/M lenses. By the way, the -10 is both double-digit and backwards compatible with non-A lenses. > The mz-5 was replace with the mz-5n just a couple of minor changes, I > understand. The have the classical interface (shutter speed knob, > f-stops on the > lene) and is very easy to use if you are used to the older manual cameras. I was thinking about that too. The problem with this interface (not apparent or discussed 3 months ago that I was having thoughts about a fully K/M-compatible camera) is that it is not fully *forward* compatible with the non-aperture ring lenses. So, Trevor, if you are not thinking of going back to old lenses, the -5n may not be the one for you. I think the -6 has the new (*extremely* usable from my experience with the -50) interface. > The mz-7 is about the same specs as the mz-5 cameras, but with modern > digital type controls. Didn't it have a shedload of programs, where the -5 had one? Kostas
