Thanks for the comment Tom! 'Tis good food for thought. Actually I do have some small graphic elements in mind - the table cells on either side of the Title are place holders for large picture thumbnails. But those won't fundamentally change the basic layout that you object to...
BTW, I would be interested to see what the site looks like on your screen. If you have time and interest, I would like you to take a screen shot, save as .jpg or .pdf, and email that to me (offlist obviously).
