I like to use multiple cards rather than a single large card. If a single large card fails, there is much to be lost whereas a failure of a smaller card may not make the whole day/job a loss.
I agree, in fact I�d buy 4 x 512 cards. Their (usually) faster and cheaper per MB as well.
