Jens, You expressed curiosity about the Pentax SMC 105/2.8K. Several list members regard it as the finest 100-105mm-class lens that Pentax has ever made; I believe that assessment includes the Pentax macros, though I could be mistaken. In a separate mailing, I've sent you my large collection of favorable comments about this lens. These comments persuaded me to buy an SMC 105/2.8K even though I already owned the outstanding Kiron 105/2.8 macro. I haven't used the SMC yet; I plan to use it chiefly for portraiture. There was a 105/2.8K for sale in Sweden (http://home6.swipnet.se/~w-60531/) in mid February for 1700 kroenig (about $171). I informed another list member who had expressed interest; he or someone has bought it, for it's gone. If you want one and are lucky enough to find it, buy it immediately; they're nearly impossible to find. I bought mine from Mr. Kamera in Finland for $260. The lens is widely seen for sale in M42 mount; some are auto; others preset. Paul Franklin Stregevsky [EMAIL PROTECTED] W: (703) 834-4648 - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
