Good Friday to all,
I stopped by the photo store yesterday (can't seem to stay away more
than three days) and they had news on my LX (#2) that was giving me erratic
readings for a while. As an aside - I continued to use it with a Sekonic
meter.
The salesclerk asked me how much I liked the camera. You can never
like the sound of that. Anyhow, I let him know that we were talking about
the LX and I had three of them so I must really enjoy them. He then told me
that the repair bill would be $400. He went to the back and verified that
it was the circuit board that needed replacing.
Considering a CLA runs about $150-$175 it is not too bad. The only
thing is that this is the same camera that went in about a year ago because
the shutter release button had fallen out.
I gave them the okay and I just have to sit back and wait for its
return. I did tell them that the timing was just right since it will be
right on the heels of my getting the MZ-S ;-)
No real reason for the story other than it is quiet right now, it is
Friday, and who else would listen and understand.
