Sure.  That's why we see new film-based cameras being made to take FD lenses.

There are thousands of cameras available that will allow people to use K/M
lenses "as they were intended to be used".  That doesn't involve auto-focus,
and it doesn't involve digital sensors.

The market for non-auto-focus digital cameras isn't large enough to tempt
anybody; there's more money to be made catering to larger market segments.
