<Heh-heh>  Yes, Ryan, believe I do see the merits of what you
describe, but I do think that there are plenty of other places for
competition, and I wouldn't want to lose even a gram of "friendly"
with the PUG.  I haven't been an active participant in the PUG for
maybe a couple of years now, but I still enjoy it (passively), month
after month, and part of what I personally like is not just the
images themselves (and not just the thought that ~Pentax~ gear was
used for them), but the ~congeniality~ that usually ensues after
each month's PUG is posted.

Speaking of "active" and "passive" - heck, the new "Open" category
may actually drag me back out of the woodwork...
