We are all "photo plagiarists" to some degree. If you see a photo that incites your creativity, go ahead and try to make your own version of it, or use it as an inspiration to create something even more your own. It's hard to know where one's creative spirit comes from ... some time ago I made a photo of a couple of cars in a field. A few days later a friend showed me a photo made by W. Eugene Smith, who, incidentally, is one of my favorite photographers, that was clearly a precedent to mine. I suppose ... can't say for sure, but it seems likely ... that Smith's work influenced my vision, and maybe i never would have seen my photo had i not seen his years before.
