Interesting isn't it! It's one of those wonderful scraps of obscure trivia I've found. I've somehow managed to find more info too! This is where I read it originally http://slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=03/09/25/2350239&tid=167 and an update, if the internal letters are just simply inversed, it's hard to decipher. If I had to guess why, it's probably something to do with the second and penultimate letters being the furthest from where they belong..
