So, the angle in this technique is to do with the camera, not the
head. What I mean by the latter: I noticed that I like pictures of my
daughter when her body is not straight opposite the lens, but rather
to the side, so she has to turn slightly to face me (of course she
never does when I ambush with the camera, but never mind :-).

Apologies for the late answer. Happens when I want to study something
a bit more. Thanks for the books suggestions too.
