I'm actually selling the PZ-1p kit to enable my purchase of an MZ-S, 
not an *ist D. After trying out an MZ-S, I'm quite impressed. But 
both cameras have quite a few points in their favor, and it's very 
difficult to pick either one as clearly superior. The "ideal" 
high-end modern Pentax film camera would likely be a hybrid of both 
of them.

Oops, Meant to reply about Joe Wilensky's post. He's the one selling the
PZ-1p kit. Same thing. Joe, don't do it!

I wouldn't sell my PZ-1p for an *ist D. No way, no how. As far as I am
concerned, the PZ is still the best camera Pentax has ever produced.
(Not having ever played with an MZ-S.)
I absolutely love my PZ-1p. I am still in the infatuation stage with my
*ist D.
