I can remember a few in the early 70s, but the horse had been replaced by a
flat bed mark 1 Ford Transit.

Steptoe & Son had a run of 12 years from 1962 to cancellation in 1974. I can
just remember being allowed to stay up late to see the last series. Heck,
that's made me feel old, that's 30 years ago!

Was that somewhat later or 70s as well?
