A new photographer will not care whether a camera uses the older lenses - if
and when she gets to that stage she will no doubt be purchasing another
camera anyway based on her experience with the first.

I would not call the camera "crippled" if that is the only reason.

| This is just my opinion, of course, but I consider the N80 to be
| crippled because nothing older than AF-D lenses can be used on
| it.  I have some pretty nice AI-S glass that I'm awfully fond
| of.  A selfish reason? Perhaps, but all of my Pentax glass works
| well with my Pentax bodies, new or old.
