A degree of sharpening can't be avoided, it's an integral part of the Bayer interpolation. The sharpening can be set to the arbitrary factor of -2 (minimum) in camera. At this setting the in-camera processed images are far less sharpened than most other cameras provide at their a minimum settings. And contrary to what you may have heard from others their is absolutely minimal advantage between saving JPEG and TIFF in camera so long as the JPEG file is saved at minimum compression.
