San Francisco has a bunch of streetcars that look like this. The local Municipal Railway (aka City transit system) has bought the cars from other cities (eg Baltimore & Philadephia) when those places retired their cars. SF runs them on the surface while at the same time, there are "light rail vehicles" (modern street cars) that run underground along a good portion of the same route on Market Street. It's a nice contrast over the trolley years.
