It's not as if someone else has taken over the list or that anyone is actively suppressing "film" talk. As someone here mentioned once, any hobby magazine starts to run out of new things to teach you every few years. The richest source of new data, techniques, and general news is digital, so of course there will be much talk of it.
I think that many are surprised at how fast the *ist D caught on and how many on the list has bought it. This means that there will be lots of questions and discussions. Since the camera is expensive, however, it has also made it hard for a certain portion of the list to make use of this new medium, no matter how much they might want too. I'm very hopeful that something fixes this within a year or two, either the Baby D or a reasonable used market. One interesting problem Pentax might have is the presence of a cheap "used" Canon DSLR market since it has "much older" models available. Despite predictions, it's gonna be a few years before the D gets old enough to create a good used market.
