James, The P5/P50 was designed for A lenses. It works fine with K, A, F, and FA lenses. With A lenses, the LCD goes into a Program Action or Program Depth of Field mode. You change it with the two rectangular buttons at the top of the LCD. You had a K lens on it, or had it set to a specific aperture. The buttons will take you thru 4 modes, AUTO (aperture-priority AE), Metered Manual (speed shows), 1/100 sec., and Bulb. So now you know how to work it... Regards, Bob S.
