Hello to all!
Congrats to the folks who recently purchased their *ist D's! Ya'll
have me very excited about my upcoming purchase of my new toys as
well! So, in preparation I have another question concerning the
preferred reader for the compact flash (which thanks to ya'll is what
I've decided to stick with instead of the Microdrives). I'm curious to
know the following:
1. What's anyone's experience with these two readers. I'd prefer to go
with the PCCard reader so that I can use it on my laptop in my empty
slot. This would be great for traveling light(er). I know there are
several makes and models of each and I'd love to hear what anyone has to
say.
Also, I'd like to know if anyone knows the difference in speed between
the 2 readers. Since I'm leaning towards the PCCARD reader, I'd like
to know if its any slower than a USB 2 reader. I know for a fact
eventually I'll need an X Drive since this is my work laptop with a
limited amount of drive space and no CD-R or DVD-R
Lastly, since I'm in the market for an xdrive as well, any feedback on
the different makes since I have yet to work with any in the market.
Thanks!
Rod
To be matter of fact about the world is to blunder into fantasy -- and
dull fantasy at that, as the real world is strange and wonderful.
