flash contact on PZ-1

A few weeks from now I wil be participating in a portrait workshop, and
I need to bring in my camera with lens and film (ISO400), but nothing on
the flash side of things was required. I wonder if I should connect my
PZ-1 to the flash system of the studio. If I need to do that, how do I
do that? My *ist D has a PC connection, can I get a hot shoe adpater to
do the same for the PZ-1? I assume a general type of hot shoe adapter
would work, right?
