Of course I knew you and Eleanor were kidding! Not about Leicas, but I knew you were in jest.
So was I. Until I started typing about Yuppies. I hate them because: (a) They have money, and (b) I don't. <vbg>
I was on LUG for a while. Still subscribed, actually; I just never read the stuff anymore. One of these days I'll actually un sub, but I keep thinking it'll be as hard as it is to unsub from PDML! <vbg> You're right, they aren't nearly as fun as we are. Talk about an overly serious bunch of stuffed shirts! OTOH, at 47, I feel like a young guy over there (the average age is about 74 over there - an exaggeration for the purposes of humour, but not ~that~ far off the mark for sure).
cheers, frank

Hi Frank,
I hope you didn't take it personally, my reply was a bit tongue-in-cheek, and so was Eleanor's (well, I guess so...). What I want to add is that I'm glad you are here, and not just for not being a Canon user...
...and the Leica Users Group is not a lovely place as the PDML, so...
I still hope you can be a millionaire in the near future, though, so you'll have no problem buying a pint to every PDMLer out there!
Gianfranco
PS: I too would keep my Pentax equipment, btw, and add interesting pieces like a 645-A 600/5.6, a 6x7 800/6.7 and probably hire a couple of people to carry them...
PPS: Canon glass flares too much for my taste...
PPPS: when I have the money, I'll begin to look for a 2.2 litres 1969 911...
