The 1.7/50 M lens I tested some time ago and found out that the 3.5/35-105 SMC-A is
slightly sharper and the 4/28-70 FA slightly less sharp at 50 mm at comparable
apertures.
Now when I compared the new 24-90 to these two zooms I found out that at the close
focusing distances the new lens is slightly sharper and again the 28-70 mm slightly
less sharp compared to the 35-105. At f:8 the differences were minimal - and remember
that the 28-70 is a very good lens.
