I suspected you were talking about this lens. I can tell you from experience that this lens sucked. Optically, it is not sharp at all at anything wider than f5.6. Colour reproduction is pale but have kind of milky effect which is great for portrait. The Pentax one is much much sharper at wide open. Mechanically, the inside was made of plastic even though the outer shell is metal (what a rip off). Mine become so unsmooth (within two years) I could not zoom it smoothly, and the authorized centre could do nothing (great!). Just forget it and look for the SMC PENTAX-A 35-105/3.5 instead. I bought mine brand new when it first released, so I know. regards, Alan Chan _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
