OT: Compressing 16 bit TIFF's in Photoshop

Ah, you have the same problem!    My 60-meg files "compressed" to about
82Mb, so I stopped compressing them.  I'm also using Photoshop 7.  JPEGs
compress as expected, but not TIFFs.  I haven't noticed whether it's just
16-bit, or 8-bit as well.
