Use a lens hood, then put a clear plastic bag around your camera and tape
the opening around the lens hood. If you want to get really fancy, add a
large rubber eyecup to your camera, then cut a matching hole in the bag
and tape it around the eyecup. You get full control of the camera, and
full waterproofing. Not the most durable fix, but should be good for a
day or so.
