Even an 800x600 SVGA LCD projector has better resolution than a TV.
(Heck, even VGA is better than composite video bandwidth).
A 1280x1024 projector has the same resolution as the best HDTV sets
(although the image isn't as wide - 5:4 aspect ratio rather than 16:9)
[For the nitpickers:  Yes, HDTV actually has 1080 scanlines, not 1024]

The latest generation of home digital video recorders (DVRs) have the
ability to display still images, too, which you dowload from your PC.
I'm eagerly awaiting the release of the HD TiVo next month, and I hope
this capability will be included - I'd like to try looking at some of
my images on the largescreen TV.
