I'm just selling off stuff that I never use. This lens has actually made it quite a ways in the process since I sold off stuff to fund my *ist-D purchase as well.
Personally, I was always satisfied with this lens' performance, even though I did not use it much. The main thing that worked against it was that I discovered I'd rather just use a fast normal lens when walking around than a zoom - so when I go to the city I bring my ME Super and 50mm. When I do want a zoom I also have the FA 28-105 power zoom, and while the Tamron offers a longer focal length, the Pentax offers closer focusing.

So, IMO, it's a fine lens and can produce some excellent results.
