Hi,

> Now if they could just make one that would bounce.

They do! I've used a camera that bounces. It belonged to someone I met
who lived on a boat moored off a Seychelle. She bought the camera
precisely because it had rubberised corners, was proofed against salt
spray and was designed for falling on decks, rather like expensive
marine binoculars.

I can't remember what it was called or who made it, but it was a high
quality point & shoot type of thing. I did a lot of portraits with it
of this acquaintance and her baby. Although I never saw the finished
shots myself I heard from other people that they were very good, both
technically and aesthetically.

I have, loads of times. It's very distressing. You don't want to do
it.
