. . . might a Sunday nite be considered a really late Friday? I mean,
it's not Monday yet. . . <g>

If this offends, please don't read. <g>

Ladies and gentlemen of the list,

        I'm selling my LX.

This is the one I bought in late August of 2003.
Truly looks 99+% condition. There is no brassing, no dents, dings,
scratches anywhere.
There are two very small, light paint chips, on the top of the
viewfinder. One is 1/2 mm in size, on the right rear fold, and one on
top left fold, 1/2 x 1mm. Thru the paint only. Didn't scratch the
underlying metal.
That's it on the entire camera. No other insults to it's beauty. . .

This camera body was tripod mounted for most of it's life.
It was used inside, in a studio, to take closeup photos of stamps. Period.
It currently has a Pentax Dial Data back.
I made inquiry of Pentax, and they do have plain backs for it.

This camera was CLA'd by the previous owner, just before he sent it to
me, so everything works peachy keen.
This sale is for the body only.
It has an FA-1 viewfinder, an SC-21 focusing screen and a B grip.

Why do I want to sell it? I've owned lots of Pentax cameras but had
never held an LX until I bought this one. I am impressed with it's
capability. But. . .
I find it's too bulky and it's too heavy for my tastes.
I was used to the size and weight of several Olympus OM-series sized
cameras, from which platform I came to the Pentax M-series cameras. My
hands are no longer the tough, strong hands of a dance band drummer, but
a 70+ year old guy with carpal tunnel and arthritis! Wages of sin, I guess!
I can walk around all day with my little MV, my MG or my MX - or even my
Optio S4. But, put the LX on and it's weighing heavily in an hour, and I
end up sorry I brought it along!
Put a 135 f/2.5 and it's now a beast!
Sad, but true.

So, it needs a good home.
I'll offer it to the fraternity first, see who might be interested. Then
it goes on eBay.

I paid $450. I'll give members a break, and sell it for $425. I'll pay
the postage in the continental U.S.

I won't put it up for a week or so. . . so think about it.

Thanks one and all.
There will be others next Friday. . .<g>
