Talking of eyecups!! I have been experiencing a similar problem with
side-light effecting my SPF's light meter.
A camera dealer friend tried to find me a suitable eyecup, but he has
searched all his sources in Canada and some in the USA, and has drawn a
blank. I do remember them in the 70's, possibly early 80's, but not seen any
since then.
Does anyone know where these can be obtained ?

.... I agree!!

.. I also have the impression that, without eyecup, I put

I can't get my eye closer, because I wear glasses. Also I don't know if I
can get correction eyepieces suitable to my SPF.
