Ask at your local photo shop. They can probably give you your "prints" on CD instead of or in addition to paper. That can cost quite a bit, a better approach may be to have them scan selected frames after you have had a chance to evaluate the prints. It may cost you $2 each time, but if you have no more than 1-2 portfolio quality shots per roll, you won't go broke too fast. If you have more, then quit your job, buy a scanner, and start living off your photography earnings.

Hello all:
I've been lurking on the list for a while now and the archives and the ongoing discussions have really proven helpful. Also, I've bought stuff from some PDMLers (Tonghang Zhou and Joe Wilensky and Paul Eriksson), all of which was good and exactly as described. Beats eBay puffery and jive any time!
I enjoy using my Spotmatics and MXs -- I bought them last year and the Spotmatics in particular are so much cheaper now than when I was a boy! Then, they were completely out of reach, I think even an H1a with a standard lens was close to $200 new during the 60s, which is probably equivalent to US$1000 now. All of my M42 lenses are the "low cost" ones under $100 -- e.g. SMCT 28/3.5, 35/3.5, 50/1.4, 55/1.8, 105/2.8, 135/2.5, 85-210/4.5 and ST150/4 -- and some cost me less than $10, yet the quality is just wonderful. The K mount lenses seem to be more expensive -- but again all but one (K24/2.8) have been under $100, and even the K24/2.8 wasn't too much over $100. The discussions from list members about the cheap but good lenses has been really helpful, so thanks!
I live in northern Minnesota and we are having our first good winter in years, there's lots of snow and it looks great. I mainly take what I guess would be called record shots of family, friends, events, vacations, and the like, perhaps better than the average snapshooter, but nothing in the league of some of the pictures that some PDML members post. If I ever figure out how to put film pictures on the internet maybe some day I'll do that, but I imagine a scanner is needed and I don't have one and I don't intend to get one for now.
Again, thanks to all,
Aaron Bransky
