Or, sometimes the photographer isn't ~trying~ anything.  He just shoots, and 
when he gets his contacts back, says, "Hmmmm, this look kinda cool.  I 
wonder how it'll look all blowed up?"  <vbg>

Or at least that's the way things work for this photographer (sometimes).
