Now ~there's~ a face with character! Great capture, Steve. I think using that lens at that distance emphasizes and enhances this fellow's features. Often such distortion is thought of as undesirable, but here, I think it works wonderfully! Great cropping (in viewfinder, or afterwards?), too!

I really like this one. It's a photo of my (non-drinking) friend Mike in a pub, taken from 45cm away with an M50/1.7 at f1.7 on Ilford Delta 3200 pulled to 1600ASA. I call it a "macro portrait" for obvious reasons. :-)
