So, we managed to hook up for lunch and chat for an hour or two. As one might expect, not a Pentax in sight! <vbg> I had to have my Leica, since I just got it out of the repair shop yesterday, Wendy had her little Contax T2 (what a lovely little cam that is - and I understand the lens is sharp as a tack), and her humungous Canon D Something or other (D10? Is there such a beast?) along with a 28-135 zoom. Man, that is one big, bulky package! The *istD is sooooo compact in comparison.
Yep, the 10D. It weighs an absolute ton. I was almost on my knees by the time I'd walked round Toronto for a couple of hours lugging that beast. Would you believe, up until last year, I used to be 5'11" ;-)
Anyway, after boring poor Catherine to tears for about an hour (I mean hell, bad enough she has to endure lunch with a couple of boring old adults, but then listening to camera geek talk?),
Poor old Catherine was feeling miserable after having had two horrible (she thought) interviews. She's pretty shy too so you're lucky you got a whole sentence out of her! Actually, she's so much like me it's scary. Apart from looks, that is. She was lucky enough to get her looks and figure from the milkman's side of the family ;-)
As always, it was wonderful meeting a fellow PDML'er - haven't met a bad one yet! <vbg>
It was great meeting you too, Frank!
