The CBC program "Ideas" was interviewing the distillers who make Scotch whiskey, and they all said to a man, that Scotch should be diluted with anywhere from 20% to 40% with water, or a similar volume of ice. They didn't seem to think it mattered much if the whiskey was malt or blended. After that, I started experimenting a bit with the concept. Some whiskeys like to be watered a wee bit, others a wee bit more. If nothing else, the experimenting is fun. William Robb
