OK - here's an image straight from the *ist-D. I'm still trying to work out what to do to it (other than try to fix the perspective distortion; I had to tilt the lens up a bit). (The lens I used was the PZ 28-105).
Exposure set, manually, to 1/20 @ full aperture (f4.5); ISO set to 800, and image recorded as a best-quality JPEG. Any comments, suggestions, critiques welcome.
