Peter, I don't think this over sharpening is characteristic of the Sony. The shot is straight out of the camera, cropped a bit and resized. I found the Sony S85 did less sharpening than the Pentax S4.
Shel pointed out to me that I should be using the Macro mode. I did in some of the shots, but don't know about this one. I'll run some tests later today. The shot has a strange look. Regards, Bob S.
