That is weird, Ryan ... most, if not all the images, are set as progressive JPEGs, so, if I understand the concept correctly, you should see something pretty quickly.
No images are 5mb, although one is definitely bigger than the others at 425kb because I inadvertently uploaded a larger sized file. Decided to leave it up for the time being just to see what sort of comments the size would garner, but it definitely won't be that large in the final page.
