Are you suggesting it is the PZ1 causing this, or the lens? If it's the former, I don't get this at all on my PZ1-P. Perhaps your camera needs to be checked out.

In regards to the finder - it's adequately bright, I guess I'd put it
roughly on par with my Pz-1p. As for barrel distortion - I don't know that
I've ever noticed that in terms of the finder itself on any
camera. Wouldn't that be something determined by the lens?
