I've had even fewer problems since I got away from MS entirely!

I got this virus and almost bit on it, but I don't trust anything that
calls itself a ".exe" file. Not that unpacking it on the edwin account of
my linux computer would likely have caused any problems...

I broke away from Microsoft at about the same time that DX coding showed
up for cameras. The idea that a computer knows what I want better than I
do so it won't let me tinker with things is as annoying as the idea that
a camera knows what I want better than I do. Of course a manual camera
and a linux computer take knowledge to run, making them less suitable for
the masses who just want a point-and-shoot or point-and-click tool.
