Sorry about the rough edit above. I don't have much experience with the W/A 
zoom lenses and I don't own the FA20/2.8 however I can send you comparison 
images shot using the A20/2.8 and FA24/2 if you wish. I like both lenses myself 
but if the angle of view is of limited importance then IMO the 20/2.8 is more 
suited to use with the *ist D. It shows less colour fringing and is a better 
match physically size (and colour) wise.
