Wow!
And Thanks!
That's all I can say about the response to the idea of WOW (Workshop of the Week).
It seems that the WOW now has caught on among list members enough to expect it to
continue as a regular feature of the PDML.
Thanks a lot to all who volunteered and to everyone who will continue participating.
I also want to encourage anyone, particularly newbies and lurkers, to ask for a "WOW"
treatment of a picture in order to learn a bit more about digital photofinishing.
I have already learned quite a bit only today and haven't really had the time to
digest it all yet.
It also seems that my plea for assistance in an earlier message was redundant, to tell
from how things have been working out with the first WOW:s.

Regarding my own pilot WOW, "the Blue Nightmare" as Paul Stenquist.coined my family
photo, I have received 11 treatments so far and added my own from a year back. (If
there will be others I will upload them as I get them.)
(Correction: A 12th version, by Frits, came in as I write this, and is added to the
others.)

All, including the original scan, can be seen at
http://www.photo.net/photodb/folder.tcl?folder_id=381669

I think it's worth a visit just to see what can be done in digital photofinishing and
what the PDML members are capable of.
I hope I got each picture correctly attributed.
I added comments by the submitters as captions to the photos, which can be read when
opening each image or simply by holding the cursor above the picture.
Any complaints or comments welcome.

(Dare I say that I actually prefer my own version.... (ducking) (maybe just because I
wanted my (now late) mom to retroactively have had a sunny moment when the shot was
made), except for the sharpness and crispness that Jostein achieved in his version -
amazing.)

Thanks a lot to everyone,
Lasse
