FWIW the thing that drew me to this composition was the "curve" formed by the leg, neck and head. I wasn't specifically intending to crop out the other eye and ear.


The finer details of this composition came from luck just as much as skill. I tend to work quickly around things that might move, so I don't have the opportunity to closely scrutinise every last detail like I might with a landscape.

Looking a little more closely I would like to try cropping a little off the left - specifically that little white bit at the bottom left corner.

Dave, I apologize if I am kind of stealing your thread. It is simply that I would like to have this picture analyzed by those who know so that those who study, like me, can learn.
