Just realised I havent yet sent the list any praise on the wonderful,
hitherto unknown to me (just got it in the mail) pentax helicoid tube...
NEAT accessory!! for those of you who aint familiar with the device, its
a set of extension tubes folded into one very slim ring - which extends,
when you turn the focusing ring, to any chosen width (up to the size of
a regular x2 tc). its wonderful! no more need to shlep all three ring
set and try each one till the right distance is achieved...
admittedly its less perfect with ultra-wides : the unfolded tube is the
size of a middle-section ring (in a set of three).
all the same, I much prefer it to the set (which I never used).
