One of the things that I think get's lost in htese sort of
discussions it the "real world".
The real world isnt a place of 1000:1 toc test targets, so why look
at those numbers?
The real world is a much lower contrast place, a place where the
1.6:1 chart is a better place to look.
This is a realm where 60 lines/mm (Fuji Across 100) is very good
indeed.

where the fellow shows that system resolution is less lens dependent
than we would care to think.


system resolution =                     1
 (lpmm)             -------------------------------------------
                    (  1/lens lpmm) + (1/film lpmm)...
Do the math.
