I love this shot. The gradations in the landscape and the single elevator rising above the landscape are majestic. I wouldn't reframe it. As far as the road is concerned, it's there. It's part of this landscape. You could photoshop it out of there, but that would perhaps be somewhat of a cheat. On the other hand, as I noted before, I would like less green, more contrast and more brightness. Perhaps I'm a color junky who needs to be slapped around a bit, but that's just me. In violation of all photographic ethics, I minused green andpumped it up. It's here: http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=2201570&size=md
I might be just plain wrong on this, but I like it this way. In any case, it's a great photograph.

Bill, thanks for looking & commenting. Yep the Palouse.
There have been a few comments about the positioning and I just don't recall
if there was any thing to the right that might have prevented that. I was
expecting some comments about excluding the road in the lower foreground.

The Palouse, Ken? As usual, a great image, I'm coming to expect nothing
less from you. My only thought is that it might have worked "a bit" better
with the framing moved to include more of the land to the right of the
elevator. Just a quibble, and I might be all wet, too. Everything else
works quite well to my eye...
