No reason why not, since Pentax released the K mount as an open standard (which is why Vivitar, Ricoh, etc used it). I don't know why they would, though, with the *istD on the market. Cosina seems to be selling primarily to the nostalgia market and I'm not sure that K-mount qualifies yet. Digital just keeps getting better and cheaper, and I'm hoping that soon all the companies will offer full-sized sensors in their cameras at a price that I can afford. DJE
