no offense taken, but i was absolutely sure that i am the lousiest photographer ever, until i got a scanner.

now i know for sure where the problem is.

i also know for sure that

-- film (even slide film) has more than +/-0.1 stop of lattitude
that the lab prints show

-- focusing camera does work (although the lab prints normally
don't show it).

-- reasonable colors can be achieved. although not in the lab prints.
